The turnout for the official opening of the new 'Gosto Interiors + Arte' showroom and gallery in Boliquieme last Saturday exceeded all expectations with over 700 guests enjoying the space, the company and the art showroom that adds a powerful new dimension to Gosto's furnishings business.
One guest, Silves-based architect specialising in redesigning and furnishing houses and boutique hotels, commented that he could envisage bringing clients to the Gosto Interiors + Arte showroom to pick out some key display pieces, be they distressed cabinets or one-off lighting displays, and could build a theme around it.
An Almancil-based estate agent commented that there will be no hesitation in recommending Gosto to clients as the furnishings each seemed to have a one-off appeal and the soft furnishing selection was a sensual and attractive addition to products on offer.
The building itself, a former orange processing cooperative, has been refinished including large tile artwork from the multi-talented artist Meinke Flesseman whose exterior mural on the corner of the showroom marks its location by Aldi just to the north of the Fonte de Boliquieme roundabout on the EN125.
The art exhibition space currently displays work by Meinke Flesseman, Eric de Bruijn and guest artist the Iraqi-born Saad Ali from Valencia, Spain.
The showroom now is open to the public who are as welcome to view the art in the gallery space as mooch around the furnishings area in search of that 'something special.'
