New Rotary Presence in Estoi

On Saturday morning, 18th May, members and friends of Rotary Club Estoi Palace International met to officially open their new ‘Office’ in the heart of the town of Estoi. Located on the street directly behind the church, the new facility is owned by the parish and was renovated specifically for this project.

The Rotary Clubs of Almancil, Estoi Palace and Loulé are pleased to report on the terrific public response to their recent request for donations of foreign language books for the local school libraries. A wide variety of books were received from comic books to language dictionaries to popular novels.
Bringing Culture & Fine Arts to the Western Algarve

Ljiljana da Silva has been working tirelessly to bring the fine arts to the Western Algarve – she has been crossing hurdles big and small to bring together a world-class dance school for “Escola de dança de Lagos” in the small town of Lagos, purely with donations and council support – the dance school has classes from ballet, contemporary dance and even Indian classical dance.

Following the success of "The Swing & Supper Night" we are proud to present a repeat performance on Friday 24th May, at Filho d'Mâe. Seating is very limited so early reservations direct to the venue are strongly recommended. All proceeds and donations are in aid of Castelo de Sonhos Charity in Silves.
Concert by The Alton Community Choir - May 30th

The Alton Community Choir will perform at the Mascarenhas Gregorios Theatre (near GNR), Silves on Thursday 30th May. All proceeds will go to the Castelo de Sonhos charity, to help poor families in the Silves area.

Rotary Club Estoi Palace International held its semi-annual quiz night on Friday, 3rd May and reports a great result. More than € 1.700 were raised for the club’s ongoing project to supplement the Food Bank’s monthly parcels for the underprivileged families of Estoi.
