Algarve Senior Bikers in the Wild West

Riding from Lagos following a superb route towards the rugged west coast of the Algarve,devised by Dave Longmore, riders travelled through some really wild country and had to battle against some very wild winds at times.

Diamond Jubilee Tea Dance

Silves Dance Group have organised a Tea Dance to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee on 27th May at 2pm, at the Colina dos Mouros Hotel in Silves. Festivities include Afternoon Tea with coffee, tea or soft drinks, whilst dancing on the terrace and Susanna Wilson will be the singer for the afternoon.

Rupert, aged 8 achieves riding diploma

Pine Trees Riding Centre is one of the 'Association of British Riding Schools' Riding Centres where you can take ABRS Weekly Rider Tests. There are tests in both equitation and in stable management, with the A – E designed for children and from 1 – 9 for older children and adults.

Queen's Diamond Jubilee Gala Dinner 31st May

Would you like to join in a very special event to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee? The Royal British Club is hosting a Queen's Diamond Jubilee Gala Dinner with the British Ambassador as guest speaker, with live music and dancing, on Thursday 31st May at the Palacio Hotel, Estoril.

Steamy novel set in the Algarve

Breaking Tracks is the debut novel by West Berkshire author Sally Hope Johnson and is set in the Algarve. In 2010, having just returned from one of her many holidays to the Algarve Sally felt inspired, and went on to write a fictional story of how a life can get derailed.
