Members of the Algarve Senior Bikers braved the cold winds and enjoyed their ride to Odemira in the lower Alentejo. The ride was organised by Stan Green and Martin Taylor. Unfortunately Martin was unable to take part having to return to the U.K. due to urgent family commitments.
The group was divided into two due to the large amount of riders taking part, and David Shirley took Martin's place. The ride was led by Stan with the assistance of Dave Longmore and Michael Jensen.
They met near Lagos and the route took them alongside the Baragem Bravura and through the Pincho Valley to join the road to Aljezur.
After a break for coffee below the castle in Aljezur the riders continued up the windy west coast road for lunch at Restaurant O Tarro overlooking the river in Odemira with the well known tree sculpture on the roundabout, made entirely from scrap metal.
