Explore a lesser known AlgarvePromoted by Oficina Bartolomeu dos Santos, Tavira with the support of the Algarve 365 Programme 'Alquimia – Cultural Itinerancies' is a cultural proposal born of the will to explore a lesser known Algarve and develop a different kind of tourism.

Four distinct programs will be taking place between now and April 2017, under the motto of the four elements – Fire | Air | Earth | Water – we propose experiences of proximity, enjoyment and learning. Through gastronomy, artistic production and a contextualized recognition of the natural and cultural heritage we wish to provide a different sense of place.

Mindfulness means awarenessIt is a basic human quality and involves learning to focus and pay wise attention to what’s going on inside your mind and body, and in the outside world.

Our minds are easily distracted, often unhelpfully going over past events in our head and trying to anticipate the future. Mindfulness is a way of paying attention to, and seeing more clearly whatever is happening in our lives. Paying attention to our thoughts, feelings and sensations in the body may not sound like a very helpful thing to do, but research consistently shows that learning to do this in a particular way can have a measurably positive impact on our lives.
