Last Friday 14th February, Valentine's Day, the Albufeira and Silves Bombeiros were definitely feeling the love as a second delivery of equipment, this time donated by Hampshire Fire & Rescue services, in conjunction with the English charity Fire Aid UK, arrived at Silves Fire Station. The items were eagerly awaited for by Bombeiros Commandants of Silves and Albufeira.
Algarve resident, Keith Holden and Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service, specifically Steve Smith and Stephen Ricketts, along with Algarve Removals worked together to provide and deliver individual protection equipment for fire departments that need it the most.
What would life be like without family and friends? This is how most people survive. StreetLife is no different.
Since September 2017, when StreetLife Animal Sterilisation Programme was launched in the East Algarve, we have survived with the help and generosity of our supporters. During the last 28 months we have been busy trying to reduce the number of unwanted puppies and strays in our local area.
Thanks to the generosity of local charities, local children and the elderly receive small gifts at Christmas that they generally wouldn’t have due to various circumstances. Bearing this in mind Almancil International Rotary Club decided to wait until a couple of weeks after Christmas to present parishioners associated with the Igreja de Nossa Senhora de Fátima de Almancil with some (almost) festive treats.
