A bit of give and take

In these painful times, would it not be possible to establish a cooperative where work and services could be exchanged without the use of money.  You fix the lock on my door and I tidy up your garden. You do my shopping as I am handicapped, and I mend all your children's clothes.

Those who join would list what they can contribute. It would have to be supervised by someone who can organise and keep an eye on things.

Records of "deals" would be kept. I cannot volunteer due to age and health, but I am sure there are many who could do a good job, and the community would be helped.

Could you please print this suggestion?
