Amendoeira Golf Resort Gears Up To Host First Ever EuroPro Tour Grand FinaleLeading Algarve golf destination, Amendoeira Golf Resort, is putting final preparations in place ahead of hosting its first HotelPlanner.com EuroPro Tour Championship, the grand finale of the year-long Race to Amendoeira series.
The Algarve gem, whose Oceanico Faldo Course was also recently named within Golf World Magazine’s Top 100 Golf Courses in Continental Europe, is set to host some of the game’s brightest prospects looking to step up to the European Challenge Tour. Only the five top-placed players after three highly-charged rounds in Portugal will progress to Europe’s second-tier circuit.

3rd Golf Corporate Day for Casas do BarlaventoFor the third consecutive year, Casas do Barlavento organized a golfing day on September 22nd to thank the owners, buyers and business partners of Casas do Barlavento for a successful year at the Boavista Golf Resort & Spa.
Of the 80 invited players, a total of 20 teams, each composed of 4 players, resulted in a Stableford with a 9am shotgun start. The game ran smoothly, players enjoyed a sunny day, sandwiches and fresh towels and drinks at stations along the course.

The festival, which ran over six days, comprised of a combination of events, Singles, Scramble, Pairs, Dubai and Am Am competitions. This year’s Festival attracted well in excess of 600 entries.

The Parque da Floresta golf course opened in 1987 was designed by Pepe Gancedo (1938-2016). One of Spain´s most famous golf course architects, his design philosophy was to make courses enjoyable, traditional, challenging and memorable, with minimal alteration to the existing terrain.

The Oceanico World Golf Kids Championship returned to Amendoeira Golf Resort for the ninth consecutive year last week, where 136 of the world’s most promising young golfers enjoyed a fun-filled competition and the chance to experience life as a tour professional.
Sanctioned by The R&A and with World Amateur Golf Ranking points on offer, the event attracted some of Europe’s finest young golfers to the Algarve venue to test themselves over the Faldo and O’Connor Jnr courses. The former was recently named Portugal’s Best Golf Course at the World Golf Awards.
