The hot weather has started with temperatures in the high 30s across the Algarve region.

The forecast from the often prescient Portuguese weather service suggests the following maximum temperatures this week in the various municipalities of the region:

Albufeira: above 30º every day, maximum of the week 34º

Alcoutim: above 30º every day, week high 37º

Aljezur: above 23º every day, week high 31º

Castro Marim: above 30º every day, maximum of the week 34º

Faro: above 30º every day, maximum of the week 34º

Lagoon: above 29º every day, week high 36º

Lagos: above 23º every day, week high 31º

Loulé: above 29º every day, maximum of the week 34º

Monchique: above 21º every day, week high 31º

Olhão: above 30º every day, maximum of the week 33º

Portimão: above 26º every day, week high 36º

São Brás: above 29º every day, week high 33º

Silves: above 29º every day, week high 37º

Tavira: above 31º every day, week high 34º

Vila do Bispo: above 22º every day, week high 27º

Vila Real de Santo António: above 29º every day, week high 32º
