Algarve Bike Rides 2020 - Explore the unspoilt areas of Algarve by bike


Due to the ongoing Coronavirus threat and the recommended measures in place, there will be no bike rides for the time being. 

Join us for one of our bike rides through the Algarve countryside, on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year. See details below.

This weeks bike rides:

Wednesday 11th March
Bike Ride starting in Almancil, we meet close to Apolonia at 09.15am in time for a 09.30am start. This will be a moderately challenging ride of around 2 hours designed to suit the abilities of those who sign up in time.

Saturday 14th March

Sunday 15th March
Bike ride starting in Moncarapacho. We meet by the cemetery ( ) at 09.15am for a 09.30am start. This will be a typical Sunday ride of 35 to 40 km with a cafe stop somewhere along the way.

Note: We reserve the right to cancel any ride if less than 5 people are signed up for the ride ! So please sign up by 6pm on the evening prior to the ride, if you intend to come.

If you would like to come along to one of these rides, please do let me know either by text, email or by confirming on Facebook via the Activity Algarve Bike Rides page ! If a ride has to be cancelled for any reason, such as bad weather, then notification of cancellation will be via text, so please make sure that I have your mobile phone number !

Small Print 

If in doubt about your health or you have a medical condition that may be affected by exercise, then please consult your GP before joining a ride. Riders must wear a safety helmet for their own protection. Price for participation is €5 per rider per ride.
Riders are responsible for their own safety and should be able to ride competently on a variety of road surfaces and traffic conditions. You participate in these rides at your own risk and no person(s) or organisation(s) can be held responsible for any accident, injury or loss to yourself. Activity Algarve have an accident insurance policy in place and you may be covered by this for any particular ride. To be covered, you must email your full name and date of birth to at least 24 hours before any ride that you wish to be covered for !

Riders should also make sure that their bike is well maintained and in good and safe working condition and carry at least one spare inner tube and a pump.
