Metropolitan Police applies for additional funds to find Madeleine

praiadaluzThe UK’s Home Office has confirmed that an application has been received from the Metropolitan Police for additional funds to keep Operation Grange going.
 
"The Home Office has provided funding to the Metropolitan Police for Operation Grange and the resources required are reviewed regularly with careful consideration given before any new funding is allocated."
 
Government funding for the investigation into the disappearance of Madeleine McCann is set every six months. In October 2017, the sum of around £150,000 was allocated which will run out at the end of March this year.
 
Madeleine McCann disappeared from a holiday apartment in Praia da Luz in May, 2007. She was three-years-old and has never been seen again.
 
The Metropolitan Police launched an investigation in 2011 and so far has spent around €13 million, with no results reported.
