New wine App for the Algarve

VineAutumnThe Algarve Wine Commission (CVA) has launched a new App at this week’s Lisbon tourism fair, giving a technological boost to the region’s wines.

Carlos Gracias, president of the CVA, was on the Turismo do Algarve stand and presented an App for smartphones that aims, "to contribute in an innovative, appealing and practical way to enotourism in the Algarve."

The App aims provides information that goes beyond the listing and location of the region’s wine producers by providing additional information such as regional restaurants, wine news and related activities.

The App is free to download on Android and IOS platforms, with the CVA regularly updating content through its own research, contributions from producers and resellers.

Hours before this presentation, the president of Turismo de Portugal, Luís Araújo, had defined wine tourism as, "a priority for tourism development in the country."
