€840,000 Carvoeiro home offered as competition prize

CarvoeiroHomePrizeA British couple has decided to sell their Carvoeiro home and donate part of the proceeds to two charities.

WIN YOUR DREAM PROPERTY gives anyone the chance to own the villa by registering a £5 entry and answering a simple question.

The wild fires of 2017 and the heroic effort to save lives by the Bombeiros has encouraged Algarve property owners Paul and Joanne to take a different approach to selling their house in the Algarve.

The ability to make a substantial contribution to the Bombeiros charity as well as the RNLI in the UK (another lifesaving organisation run by volunteers) influenced their decision to use a skill-based competition to find a new owner for their property.

When family friend Jessica became aware of Paul and Joanne’s intention to support charity funded volunteer organisations she suggested a skilled based Prize Competition. Jessica realised it could be a perfect solution because so many people could benefit.

The owners sell their home, the 1st prize winner gets a place in the sun plus £10,000 - the two runners up get cash and two charities receive donations.

Jessica, a University of Leeds graduate, had little business experience but was very focussed in her requirements ‘I wanted everyone to have a chance to win and that has been reflected in the ticket price, it is an alternative way for anyone from students to young couples to step on to the property ladder or for a family or retired couple to own their dream home.

The www.winyourdreamproperty.com website stands out from what is already out there - it is user friendly, offers a really desirable property, worth over €840,000.

The villa comes fully furnished and debt-free with all taxes and legal costs met, money to pay the bills for the first few years to allow them time to contemplate,  and just as the owners wanted involves a charitable donation. When moving in you really do just need to bring your toothbrush.’

but if the prize is here is it not governed by local laws? perhaps to reassure those who want to play - a letter from the gaming commission here confirming it is all legal would help
If I was sat in a bar in Alamaba and decided to offload my property in this way, wtf has this to do with the Portuguese gaming commission?

yes I am surprised that the local camara has not stopped this, remember the great bingo n biscuit case in albufeira a few years back?
I seem to recall that all betting need a licence
This is not betting or gambling, it's a game of skill and chance run from outside the country. It's up to the owners how they want to dispose of their property.
