A businessman from Porto de Mós, Leiria, convicted in 2010 of shooting a man dead who had been caught robbing his Madiver company premises, received a 13-year sentence but later fled the country.

Danish utility Dong Energy announced Wednesday that it will build the world’s largest offshore wind farm off the UK's Yorkshire coast.

With a 1.2-gigawatt capacity, the Hornsea Project One will be the world’s first offshore wind farm to exceed one gigawatt in capacity, making it the world’s largest by a “considerable margin,” the company said.
