Barroso snipes at Cameron as 'UK loses its European influence'

barrosoJosé Manuel Barroso, the former President of the European Commission considers that the British influence in the European Union has declined to the point that London has ceased to be the link between Brussels and Washington.

Barroso also warned the British Government that a possible exit from the EU would be a real mistake.

According to Barroso, the United Kingdom has been losing influence within the European Union to the point where London has lost its historic status of the bridge in bilateral relations between Brussels and Washington.

In an interview with the BBC, Barroso hinted that Germany now has pole position in the European leadership.

The former prime minister of Portugal also took the opportunity to warn David Cameron that an EU departure by the UK would be "a real mistake from all points of view."

This follows Barroso’s October accusation that Cameron would be committing an "historic mistake" if he pursuesd an immigration policy which undermines European principles.

The retiree also criticised the "defensive agenda" being used in Brussels by Westminster, namely the referendum on the UK staying in the European Community that Cameron plans to hold if the Conservative party wins the election next year.

"You cannot criticize Brussels and the EU from day 1 to day 6 and then ask people to vote for Europe on the 7th," noted Barroso.

Barroso left his lowest blow until last when comparing Cameron with Tony Blair; "Basically I see David Cameron as a very pragmatic leader" but "Tony Blair played a really important role in the EU, he was at the center of decisions, and today this is no longer the case."

More nonsense from old plankton brain.

First paragraph - Britain has no influence.
Second paragraph - Exiting the EU would be a big mistake (not sure why if we have no influence and can save £2million per hour).
Fourth paragraph - "Germany now has pole position in the European leadership". Quelle surprise Senhor. So why should we stay in?
Sixth paragraph - Another mistake - if we take control of our immigration.
Seventh paragraph - Democracy is a "defensive agenda". Says it all!
Tony Blair was "at the centre of [EU] decisions". Hilarious.

This man needs a lobotomy.

Although at first sight this is an insult we must not think like Anglo Saxons when dealing with these people.Honesty. Decency. Integrity do not translate into Latino.

But all Latino's are aware that without the Anglo Saxon mentality of seeing a job through to the end. Doing what is best. Not deviating from doing the right thing is all that keeps the EU project on course.

Left to the Latino's the EU would never have got off the ground or would have folded within a fortnight.

And although not the brightest button on the EU jacket Barroso will no doubt have brighter minds around him, perhaps half breeds.

So us now all knowing this, we must see this as 'reverse logic'. Hurl abuse at the British, knowing full well that, as a race the Portuguese have failed abysmally in their treatment of the British in Portugal.

And the Latino's get the result they actually secretly need. That the British remain in, as the north Europeans also desperately want ... to keep the EU driving forward.

This is total gibberish ... but well up to his standard. He forgets or never knew that he got the EC job because Portugal is a minnow !

Barroso can clearly have no concept of the wide dislike, even contempt, in which many Britons and other northerners hold his country.

As for the UK's link to the US, him being a nonentity, he is obviously totally ignorant of the '5 Eyes' Spiegel refers to ? The world's English language super states. No mention there of Germany !

Portugal has totally failed to form any Union with Europe being bizarrely far closer to China ! It has not made made any contribution of any value and has been particularly unpleasant to UK citizens here.

Apart from its well known delaying to implement or ignoring of EU laws Portugal has been continuously failing to integrate entrepreneurs from other EU member states.

And why is Barroso's son shoe-horned into the Bank of Portugal 3 months ago if not to 'protect' and 'hide' DAD'S MILLIONS ?

Barroso can clearly have no concept of the wide dislike, even contempt, in which many Britons hold Blair and his reputation. If a close relationship with USA means lying to the electorate and joining unnecessary and unpopular wars, then we should be glad of that the political friendship between UK and USA has become diluted.

As the Prime Minister in charge when the submarine scandal took place, Barroso is in a weak position to moralise to anyone.

Dear Mr Barroso, you are such a loser, you are one of the last people on earth I would listen to, or go to for any kind of advice. Please go back to your allotment and tend your vegetables, there's a good man
