The Algarve’s tourist authority has issued a rather charming e-booklet ‘45 things that characterise the soul of the Algarve’
Carob and fig, xarém, beaches, chimneys, Foia, Suilves castle, oranges are some of the 45 things that give the region its soul.
The e-book is a celebration of the tourist board’s 45th anniversary.
The tourist board spokesman said that they had to leave out many Algarve favourites as the list was limited to 45.
Share the e-book with friends and family, always be proud to be in the Algarve, to live in the Algarve a region dominated by "freedom of the senses."

Most of the press releases from the tourist board are in Portuguese so I ignore them, reckoning they are only for the local and Lusophone markets. I agree, this '45 reasons' would have been lovely in English, but in the meantime, the photos are wonderful.....
