Mike Richards, originally from Swansea, is a tattoo artist with almost 25 years tattooing experience. It was a love and goal of his from a very young age.
Having worked all over the world - Germany, Amsterdam, England, Wales, America and Ireland - he recently ditched a cold and dreary UK for sunny Portugal. Creative Eye Tattoo and Piercing Studio, Vila Real to be precise.
This newly established Creative Eye Tattoo and Piercing Studio is a family run studio which also offers laser tattoo removal, and some other options. There are now 2 tattoo artists and one piercer in the studio.

Mike is a fully custom artist which means he doesn't copy or trace off the internet or anywhere, he hand draws the design for the client so the art work is completely custom for each person - no tattoo is ever the same.
Most of the time he will draw while they wait, or if it is a larger tattoo, they make and appointment and come back in a day or so.
He is a very talented artist that also offers commissioned art work such as paintings, pencil sketches, portrait drawings of family members, RIP memorials, baby portraits, animal portraits or anything you are interested in. Wood working is a hobby also, and Mike has many other creative skills; he says his 'art and heart are in his hands'.
Mike always offers FREE Consultations and is a very friendly person who loves to sit with his clients and get the exact design the client wants at a very reasonable price.
Most of the time you will know the price of the tattoo up front, so no surprises at the end. On larger pieces he will sometimes charge by the hour and is happy to discuss all this with you during the consultation, before your tattoo is applied.
Mike and everyone at Creative Eye use Autoclave Sterilisation, this is the same type of equipment hospitals use to sterilise surgical tools. He is also Blood Borne Pathogen Training Certified. Safety and sanitation is always most important. Mike never cuts corners when it comes to a creative, professional clean, and safe tattoo!
