With the mission to become even closer to the many people in Portugal, IKEA is investing more than 6 million euros in lowering the home furnishing solutions prices and making services more convenient in the financial year 2020.
“At IKEA we believe we all have the right to improve our life at home. That is why we work continuously to ensure that more people have access to functional, sustainable, good quality and beautiful design solutions. And we believe this is more relevant than ever in Algarve” explains Arack Ayadi, Store Manager of IKEA Loulé.
Determined to make democratic design more affordable, IKEA is investing 6 million euros to lower the price of 185 products for all home areas throughout the year, 130 of which are already available at IKEA stores and online.
As part of the multichannel strategy for the Portuguese market, the brand with Swedish roots is committed to expand and improve the convenience of its services.
In this context, the ambition is to create 14 new collection points throughout the country, operated by external partners where customers can pick up their online purchases, for 25€. The collection points which will open by the end of September are: Vila Real, Castelo Branco and Palmela, complementing Viana do Castelo and Leiria, already operating.
Specially focused on the many people living far from the five IKEA stores in the country, IKEA will reduce the delivery service prices in 33%, mainly by redefining the delivery areas.
To celebrate this movement with all consumers, IKEA launched an integrated multi-media campaign, now on air, within the concept “Direito ao Design”, live in television, radio, print, outdoor and a strong digital component.
As part of this campaign, more than 2 million copies of the IKEA Catalogue 2020 are being distributed throughout the country and IKEA Family members have the possibility to personalize their cover, by taking a picture at any IKEA store from Friday to Sunday, until the 29th September.
