ASB November ride and lunch

ASB November ride and lunchDark clouds greeted the ASB members at the start of the November ride in Boliqueime.  After consulting with ASB weather expert Phillipe Payen the ride up into the hills above Salir got underway and it was not long before his forecast of sun shine for the senior bikers turned out to be correct.

There was a good turnout with so many bikes that that ride was split into two groups with a 10 minute gap between the two leaving from the start.

Joachim Heinsen leading the first group on his VW trike backed up by Peter Kenyon on his new almost silent Zero electric bike. Peter Moseley and myself taking charge of the second group.
The route was to Salir and on up the steep climbing roads to Malhao with great all round views for the obligatory coffee break.
After coffee we made our way down towards Sobradinho before heading west over the hills north of Alte across country to Restaurant O Foral near Tunes for a brilliant lunch organised for the group by Steve Wills.

A great day out with some new members and chance to enjoy the last group ride of the year.

The only remaining event planned for 2017 being the annual charity lunch at the Fatacil Restaurant in in Lagoa which will be on Tuesday 12th of December and all members, member's families and friends are invited to attend.
