Algarve Senior Bikers Damp October Outing

Steve Wills leading near São BarnabeSome members the Algarve Senior Bikers had a somewhat damp ride to the October 18th meeting point in Sao Marcos de Serra. However, well before the ride got underway the roads were virtually dry. So apart from the few who declined to turn up due to the rain, the group headed off up the IC1 led by Steve Wills assisted by Miriam Post on her beautiful blue Yamaha 1300 cruiser.

The first stop was at Sao Barnabe to check out the fonte. Usually a pleasant place to watch the fish and the eels swimming under the bridge, but this time not a drop of water to be seen. We really need rain!

Then it was on up through the hills to Malhão for a coffee break with the warm sun now breaking through.

After the break David Shirley took over at the front and led the second half of the ride down some new roads towards Salir before heading across country for a return visit to the popular O Folclore Restaurant in Alte, for lunch outside on the terrace.
