The motorcycle riders of the Algarve Senior Bikers celebrated the 5th year of the group's existence with a special ride and lunch at Restaurant O Encontro at the Carvoeiro Tennis Club.
The members of the group, which was founded in 2010 by David Shirley, met in Silves for a ride through the hills around the Odalouca Dam north of Silves. David led the ride with assistance of Steve Wills and finished at the tennis club for a lovely lunch on the outside terrace of O Encontro, which was finished off with the coffee and superb cakes made by David's wife Dee.
The group has grown steadily over the past 5 years and now has over 150 members on the mailing list.
The next ASB event is being planned by Mike Sanders for Sept 10th. It will start in Sao Bras de Alportel and details will be announced shortly. Meanwhile there will be the the Faro Moto Club Concentration in July which draws bikers from all over Europe.
