Busy December for the Algarve Senior Bikers

Cake winner Marketa Blunt, with her husband KenStarting with a ride on the 3rd organised by Erroll Buckton and Paul Burgess.  This took the form of a circular route starting from Paderne to the pretty village of Querença for a coffee in the square overlooking the church.
The return trip was made on a route to the north of Alte, through typical Algarve scenery for lunch near Paderne.

The Annual Charity Lunch at the Faticil restaurant in Lagoa took place on the 12th.  The ASB members and guests managed to raise €400 for the teenagers at the Gaivota Home in Albufeira. Marketa Blunt won the prize of a Christmas cake made by David's wife Dee. All enjoyed a great lunch at a great venue for a great cause.

Dave (right) celebrates his birthday with Martin TaylorDecember the 12 was also David's birthday and he was presented with two beautiful cakes (thanks to Carmen) which he shared with his fellow diners.

ASB member Sir Owen Gee of Kiss FM Solid Gold Sunday fame said a few words about David and most of them were kind.

Some of the members will deliver the €400 donation to the home in Albufeir, thank you to all who made donations.

David would like to and wish all readers and riders a Happy Christmas and a safe and healthy 2014!
