Algarve Senior Bikers raise over 1000 Euros for Gaivota Home for teenagers

Algarve Senior Bikers raise over 1000 Euros for Gaivota Home for teenagersThe annual Christmas Charity Lunch was held at the Fatacil Restaurant in Lagoa with the usual excellent menu and service provided by Marcelo and co.

With money from the lunch, plus donations from the rides and other donations for cakes and mince pies made by Dee Shirley, and Pate made by John Tavener, resulted in a total of 1020€ being presented to the Gaivota home for teenagers in Albufeira.

Kiss FM DJ Sir Owen Gee auctioned some motorcycling gear and the home made Christmas Cake prize was won by Chris Ellis, who very generously passed it to Sir Owen to auction to raise even more funds.
Donations over the past year have also included many items including clothes and computer equipment.

A big thank you to all who have given so generously to this great cause. Too many to mention all by name but our thanks for the help go to you all.

There will be a meeting in early January to organise the rides and events for the coming year.  Details on the website soon.

Hoping all ASB members enjoyed a Happy Christmas and looking forward to more enjoyable safe riding in 2017!
