Once more, Tina McEvoy has donated a really beautiful painting for November and the story around the painting of "The Lake" is stirring and heartfelt.
Tina says, "As you might know, every month I dedicate one of my paintings to raise donations for StreetLife Animal Sterilisation Programme and for the month of November, I have chosen “The Lake”. Every time I look at thispainting the memory of this moment comesback: Sitting on a lake in the forest on a glorious warm and sunny day, watching the light reflections on the calm, murky water and the green patches of water lentils on the surface."
"It is totally peaceful. I am listening to thebirds in the trees and the grebes on the lake. Suddenly, there is a golden ripple on the surface and before I can show this to my husband, whatever it was is gone and the lake is as quiet as before keeping it’s secret, just under the surface. In that instant, I knew that this was one of those happy, golden moments. For this very moment I truly lived in the present. Something I don’t do enough, because I spend way too much time thinking of the pastand worrying about the future. This painting is a reminder to live in the present because this is where life happens.
So, if you think that you could do with a daily reminder, perhaps this painting is just for you! The canvas edges are painted blue but of course it would look very nice in a floating frame. I would behappy to assist you.
