Praia da Luz is one of the Algarve communities, that underwent the most rapid and radical changes throughout the past 30-40 years. What is nowadays a busy tourism hot spot, has once been a small, laid-back fishermen's location. We want to bring back memories from this past - and build a bridge to modern times.
Our vision: A cultural center in Praia da Luz, open all year round, with exhibitions, events, performances, music and art - all related to one big topic: SEA, OCEAN, WATER.
To start it all off we invite you to our first event: Luz - Light of the Ocean / Launch Night
Fishermen's history: tales, testimonials, interviews, visual impressions from the past, contemporary art, music and songs, gourmet tapas and more surprises... dedicated to fishing and the sea - at a beautiful location overlooking the ocean.
