Pentecost is fast approaching, this year it falls on Sunday 8th June 2025, and we at Christ The King Anglican Church Algarve invite you, your family, and your friends to join with us to echo the very first Pentecost of over 2000 years ago.
On that night we are hosting an open-air ecumenical prayer and worship service in the very heart of Almancil, in the Jardim das Comunidades and we would very much like you to join us to pray for our towns, our communities, our nations and our world.

Time: 20:00h – 21:00h
Venue: Jardim das Comunidades, Almancil
To remind us all of the Holy Spirit descending on the Disciples in the upper room the Service of Prayers and Music will be in different traditions, languages and customs with guests being invited to pray and sing in their native tongues.
Then as the night falls torches, candles and cell phones will be lighting up the sky to celebrate the start of the spread the Gospel throughout the lands.

“I am light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life”.
