Artist Diogo Evangelista presents a new work, created for this exhibiton “Eclipse”, until March 14th, 2026.
Alfaia – Cultural Association, in Loulé, begins its extensive 2026 program in the area of visual arts with “Eclipse”, by Diogo Evangelista, an exhibition curated by Leonor Lloret, which presents an original work, created by the artist for this occasion.
Eclipse takes as its starting point a rare and profoundly symbolic astronomical phenomenon, characterized by the temporal distance in which it can be observed. August 12th of this year will be one of those occasions.
It is from this unique moment, where the outline of things blurs and shadow gains presence, like a muta on of an inner world — that Diogo Evangelista evokes the eclipse. Considering the specific space of Alfaia, based on the intense sunlight that defines the Algarve, the artist invites the public to inhabit this phenomenon.
The exhibition, which can be visited until March 14th, has free entry.
