Semana Santa Processions — Tavira Old Town, evening — Solemn Good Friday procession with torches and the Via Sacra through cobbled streets. A deeply moving tradition.
Albufeira Radical — Day 2 — Praia dos Pescadores, all day — Urban sports festival with skate, BMX, parkour, surf demos. Evening concert: ATJ. Free entry.

Fish Market — Olhão, 7:00-14:00 — One of the Algarve's best for fresh catch.
Mercado Mensal de Sagres — In front of Mercado, morning — Monthly market in Portugal's southwestern tip. Great for local produce.
Mercado de Alcantarilha — Village centre, morning — Traditional monthly market in the hills.

Nas Margens do Património Industrial — Museu de Portimão, 10:00 — Guided industrial heritage walk along the riverfront. Part of "À Descoberta do Turismo Industrial" programme. Book ahead.

Mercado de Loulé (covered) — Loulé centre, 7:00-15:00 — The Algarve's most iconic covered market. Perfect for Easter provisions.
Mercado de Loulé (outdoor) — Saída para Boliqueime, morning — Weekly outdoor market near Convento de Santo António.
Mercado de Lagos — Estádio Municipal, morning — Monthly market (1st Saturday). Fresh produce, crafts, local flavours.
Mercado de Levante Lagos — Lagos Mercado, all day — Weekly market with vendors from across the region.
Mercado de Paderne — Pé da Cruz (Albufeira), morning — Monthly countryside market in the hills above Albufeira.
Mercado de Benafim — Rua 25 de Abril (Loulé), morning — Small village market in the Barrocal.

MAIN EVENTS
Festa das Tochas Floridas — São Brás de Alportel, all day — THE event of the weekend. Streets carpeted with flowers, torchlight procession at 11:00, afternoon cultural program with Mónica Sintra. Free.
Festa da Mãe Soberana (Festa Pequena) — Loulé, all day — The "Festival of the Sovereign Mother" begins with the Virgin Mary's statue being carried down from the sanctuary. One of Portugal's most important Marian celebrations. Free.

Feira do Folar — Final Day — São Marcos da Serra — Ágata concert + closing ceremonies, last chance for folar! Free.
Albufeira Radical — Final Day — Praia dos Pescadores — BMX Open Jam, Old School Bike Show, closing concerts. Free entry.
Easter Mass Celebrations — Churches across the Algarve — Morning masses with bells ringing across the rooftops. Tavira's riverside churches are particularly atmospheric.
