The Algarve is in full summer mode. Temperatures are soaring above 30°C, the sea is warm, and Praia da Rocha takes centre stage this weekend as Afro Nation returns to Portimão, bringing tens of thousands of music fans from around the world.
Beyond the festival, summer unfolds at a slower pace. Lagos hosts four days of free street food and live music, while Lagoa's candlelit artisan market transforms the historic streets into a vibrant evening attraction. With long, warm evenings, fresh seafood, and island escapes just a ferry ride away, there's plenty to enjoy—whether you're here for the party or the peaceful side of the Algarve.
