The full heat of summer is here, with 30°C+ days, warm nights, Jazz fills the riverside in Tavira, while golden evening light settles over Silves' castle walls.
This is the Algarve at its liveliest. Festivals fill the calendar, the coast is warm, and village squares come alive.
This week: a five-day beer festival beneath Silves Castle, a traditional mountain festa in Monchique, and three nights of open-air jazz by the water.
