Another cycle has ended, new ones yet to come... 2014 was an intensive and productive year at the Quinta do Vale da Lama farm. We are all very grateful to those who supported us in so many ways. As the African proverb says "It takes a village to raise a child", and Vale da Lama is being raised by all those active supporters, volunteers, partners, visitors, friends and neighbours that contribute to its healthy development.
We are growing our own food, processing surplus, hosting retreats, courses and like-minded groups, organising workshops and open days, and creating sinergies and cooperation opportunities towards a more resiliente culture.
During 2014 we were dedicated to understanding our organisation as a whole. We are defining a stucture that allows us to work with a holistic approach by exploring Holacracy implementation, and integrating different communication and community building tools.
Quinta do Vale da Lama is now hosting both main projects – the IPSS Projecto Novas Descobertas and Casa Vale da Lama an AgroTourism Eco Resort, with the purpose of combining practical and experiencial education with the productive life of the regenerative farm, and of converging learning paths with the service of transformative experiences for people with diferente origins and generations.
In 2015 we will be sending information about our programs and services. In order to communicate better, we need to know a bit more about your interests and preferences. If indeed you are interested to subscribe to one or more of our topical newsletters please CLICK THIS LINK to indicate your preferences.
For those that are interested to get involved in a more active way at Quinta do Vale da Lama, there are opportunities for 2015 at all levels - volunteering, internship and staff - that will be opening up early in the year, so if you would like to know more about such opportunities, please CLICK HERE.
A Happy New Year from the Vale da Lama Team,
May all these seeds grow into ecosystems of abundance!
