To the Praia dos Pescadores in Armação de Pêra and the new beachside restaurant, Só Verão, for a summer lunch with friends.
So good to be out of town for the day, taking the wooden walkway from the parking area at the eastern end of dear old Armação with a view over open countryside to the north and the sand to the south leading to a crystal blue sea.
Só Verão sits on its wooden pillars, colourful, welcoming and just the right menu to refresh lunchtime diners after a hectic morning in the surf or lounging on the sands of Praia Grande.
The restaurant is beach-shack chic, pastel shades and lots of exposed wood. It’s one of a three-venue offsite offering from the famous 5-star Vila Vita Parc in Alporchinos, just to the west of Armação de Pêra.
Só Verão’s pricing is well pitched, with a menu that offers a range of grilled fish, chicken Piri-Piri, a fab octopus salad and pork for hungrier diners all at sensible prices for a million dollar view.
The restaurant is open through the day from 12:00 to 22:00 and easily caters for late lunchers and those simply wanting a chilled glass of vinho as the sun sets.
Dining on the terrace after a hard day’s relaxation, creates memories...
Só Verão caters for a chilled, beachside clientele in its pastel coloured restaurant and on its wood-and-white terrace area under plenty of shade
Só Verão is open from June to October.
