Did you know that Atlantis has finally been found? It lies just metres away from the sandy shores of Praia da Rocha! Not only that, but anyone can come explore the lost temple, as long as you book first!
You’ll find it at Escape One Algarve, the Algarve’s biggest Escape Room Centre. In one of four immersive escape games, you and your team will embark on a submarine mission to explore the lost city and discover the secrets it holds.
Don’t have a clue what we’re talking about? Well, escape games are the hottest new entertainment craze, and for good reason. A cross between a blockbuster movie and the games department at Hamley’s, an escape game puts you in a themed room and gives you an hour to work out how to, well, get out again.
Take Atlantis, for example. You’ll start out in a submarine, but that’s just the beginning. In this story-driven adventure, you’ll need to decipher codes, find hidden objects, work out ancient mechanics and try not to stab yourself in the foot with any swords you might find. It’s exciting, absorbing, screen-free family fun. Perfect for groups of friends, families, or team-building.
Of course, if deep-sea exploration isn’t your thing, you can always try out living through the zombie apocalypse. Escape One Algarve’s ‘Final Call’ room has two completely different games inside. Put your wits to the test in the Flight game and you could earn a ticket out of these zombie-infected streets, or play the more physical Fight game and bag yourself some weapons with which to fight the undead horde.
And then there’s the Laboratory. Put your mind to solving a decades old mystery in a dusty old abandoned lab. Using the mad scientist’s diary, can you find out what alchemy he was working on, and keep it from Big Pharma’s greedy hands?
Escape One Algarve’s games are family-friendly. Play in teams of 2-6 per room for (more or less) 60 minutes. Each game has a dedicated game master to guide you through your experience. Family discounts are available.
