A new airline ticket price comparison website will be launched by Google.
It will not only “change the way people buy airline tickets forever” but also “blow everyone else out of the water”, according Ryanair’s Michael O’Leary.
The no-frills carrier boss said that he was helping Google with some “exciting developments” in ticket sales.
It is believed the website in development will display fare prices without bias and then people will be able to click straight through to their chosen airline to purchase tickets. The aspiration is to display all prices from all relevant airlines.
In terms of advancing technology, Ryanair predicted that people in five year’s time will be paying for tickets, excess charges, drinks and food through using their mobile phones.
