Borders Police at Faro airport have been on the ball with four travellers arrested carrying false documents.
The Aliens and Borders Service (SEF) announced that its officers arrested four foreign nationals, trying variously to board flights to England, Scotland and Ireland.
The documentation they were carrying was false. Two of them showed a fake citizen’s card, one Bulgarian and another Belgian, and the other two tried to get through passport control with false Lithuanian passports.
The SEF are on a high level of alert and the detainees were whisked off to the judicial authorities for a possible stay in jail before going to court.
