A 46-year-old Spanish holidaymaker is in intensive care in Faro after plunging three floors onto concrete from an Albufeira hotel.
The 10-metre fall happened at the four-star Real Bellavista shortly after midnight on Monday (April 10).
National tabloid Correio da Manhã says “everything indicates it was accidental”.
The man fell from the balcony of the hotel room he was sharing with his wife and suffered traumatic injuries – two of which were described by firefighter and nurse Frederico Magalhães as “open bone fractures”.
GNR police are investigating.
