Second fatality in less than 24-hours on the Algarve's 'road of death'

INEM125A motorcyclist died on Thursday afternoon, January 18th, following a collision with a good vehicle on the EN125. The victim was a 27-year-old man

The accident happened around 15:00 in the Troto area of Almancil.

 

The GNR said that the accident blocked the traffic while the emergency services dealt with the accident. Loulé forefghting personne, the GNR and a team from the National Medical Emergency Institute were involved in operations.

The accident was the second EN125 fatality in less than 24-hours, both involving motorcycles.

On Wednesday, an 81-year-old woman died after being hit by a Public Security Police motorcyclist in Rio Seco, in the municipality of Faro, as she crossed the EN125. Two oncoming cars struck the woman and speeded off, leaving her body in at least two separate pieces.
