Classic cars hillclimb and Olhão parade this Sunday

The Portuguese Antique Automobile Club is holding its Spring Tour this Sunday, April 22nd, with a hill climb and a parade of vehicles from the ’20 through to the ‘80s

Rolls Royce, Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar, BMW, Porsche and MG will be some of the marques being put through their paces after gathering at the Real Marina Hotel in Olhão at 09:00 for the start of the IVth Spring Tour.

At around 10:30am, the first car will set off on a route though the Olhão council area, with the highlight being a climb up the twists and turns of the Cerro de S. Miguel.

In the afternoon, those vehicles still running will parade down the city’s Avenida 5 de Outubro at around 4pm.
 
The event is organised by the Clube Português de Automóveis Antiguos, the same team that runs the famous Algarve Classic Cars each year.
