Subsequent to last week’s arrest of a man in Portimão on charges of possessing and distributing child pornography, the Police have caught a second man, this time in Olhão, a city better known for its drugs and prostitution.
The Police said that, "in the course of the investigation and during a home search, a number of files of pornographic content involved children under the age of 14 were found in the computer systems used by the suspect."
The 37-year-old civilian construction worker, an Olhão resident, will be up before the judge to see if it is safe to let him out, pending trial.
The Police in Portimão said their arrest had been of a 46-year-old man who had been under suspicion since 2013. He used social networks to release dozens of video files containing minors, aged between 4 and 12 years, being used in sexual acts.
