The government executive has approved next year’s State Budget proposal at the end of a Saturday meeting that lasted 11 hours.
The agreed document will be delivered to parliament on Monday for discussion.
A note from the executive read, "the Government today approved the proposal for the State Budget for 2019, its accompanying report, the Major Options of the Plan and the Multi-year Programming Framework Budget."
The 2019 State Budget proposal foresees economic growth of 2.2%, a deficit of 0.2%, unemployment at 6.3% and a reduction of the public debt to 117% of GDP.
The budget proposal will be discussed by MPs, with a final voted scheduled for November 29th.
