MISSING - appeal launched to locate British man

question Joel Eldridge has been missing since July 2018.

Although he was last known to be in the area of Sertã (Castelo Branco district), Joel may have travelled to the Algarve, and could be doing casual labouring,or busking with his black acoustic guitar.

I believe he had to testify against his daughter's murderer. So, yes, this may be the Brits trying to
warn him of someone's movements if he is in
danger.

Interesting point Republicano makes; that MAI are getting so steamed up at photos of missing prisoners being circulated. Remember that these guys have been convicted so, assuming the judge was straight, the public need to be aware that they are at large. Note that Operation Lyra does not show up on any search of the Sussex Police website so we must read between the lines. That this guy is a Bad 'Un but as long as he stays out of Saudi Arabian Consulates and in Portugal, where his photo will not be circulated further, he should still have a chance of freedom.

Did I miss something? Where does it say this man is wanted for a crime.

It does not say he is, or isn't, but when the contact details are two police forces and the British Consulate, it makes people wonder whether this is a trick. Maybe the man has good reason to disappear for a while and this appeal is putting his life in danger...
