Rod Stewart, the veteran British singer, will be rocking the Altice Arena next summer while promoting the September release of his latest album, ‘Blood Red Roses.’
The ‘Rod Stewart Live In Concert’ tour kicks off in Southampton on May 31 and will be in Portugal on July 1st in Lisbon.
‘Blood Red Roses’ is described as ‘a very personal work consisting of 13 original tracks and three covers, which is edited almost 50 years to the date when Rod David Stewart signed his first solo contract.’
The musician’s career is one of commercial success and critical acclaim, with more than 200 million records sold worldwide.
'Blood Red Roses' is Stewart's 30th studio album. It was released on 28 September 2018 through Decca Records and Republic Records, produced by Stewart and Kevin Savigar.
Single releases from the album have been; "Didn't I" (19 July 2018), "Look in Her Eyes" (7 September 2018) and "Grace" (21 September 2018)
Rod Stewart's first Number 1 album in the UK was his third, Every Picture Tells A Story, in 1971.
Awards include two entries for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the ASCAP Founders Award for composition, the New York Times Bestselling Author, and the Living Legend Grammy Award winner, and in 2016 awarded the title of 'Sir Rod Stewart' as well as the title of knight by Prince William for his services to music and to the charities he supports.
Members of the Rod Stewart fan club will be entitled to a pre-sale for the Lisbon gig with tickets available on November 20th from 9am.
On November 22 there will be an exclusive pre-sale in all FNAC stores between 10:00 and 00:00.
Sale to the general public sale will be from November 23 at 10:00 am, at official sales outlets.
Prices range from €55 to €250.
