Today's accidents on the EN125 - five in hospital

en125postThe Algarve’s EN125 was the scene of two further accidents this morning, one at the western entrance to Olhão and the other near Praia da Luz.

Five people were injured, two of them seriously.

The first accident happened near Continente in Olhão where two Portuguese national were seriously injured - a 43-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman.

The second was at the roundabout for the Boavista Golf Resort near Praia da Luz, Lagos, where three people were slightly injured.

The Olhão victims were taken to Faro hospital and those injured near Praia da Luz, a 67-year-old Italian couple and a Portuguese man, were taken to Portimão hospital.

As at 30 November this year, there had been 9,890 road traffic accidents in the Algarve, in which 37 people died, ten more than in the same period last year.
