A request already had been submitted to the Directorate-General for Energy and Geology.

recall being told the definition of a mining company, some investors with a hole in the ground and a piece of paper

Investors, a hole in the ground and a boiler room.

This area is littered with abandoned mineworkings. I wonder why this new application has been made - what does MM&T know which previous prospectors did not?

I hope the Government will request a large percentage of revenue from any find that may occur.

.........................................
And I hope the Government, ensure that a percentage of the revenue will be guaranteed to be used for infrastructure in Alentejo.
