Cape St Vincent earthquake 'not related to Brexit'

earthquakeChartAn earthquake measuring 2.6 on the Richter scale, with an epicenter out at sea about 30 kilometers south-southwest of Cape St. Vincent, was recorded at 1:11 am today by the seismic station network.

According to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere, there was "no information confirming that this earthquake has been felt on shore."

If members of the public ever feel the shock of an earthquake, they can help the IPMA by going to its website and filling out the form (HERE) to help build up an earthquake record.
