Ryanair is to make tickets available through travel agents next month.
This is the first time in ten years that it will be possible to buy Ryanair flights from an agent.
The carrier is in a keen push to expand the number of business customers flying with it. The company’s new marketing boss said it wants to double the number within the space of two years.
Presently, business travellers total 19 million, which is 22% of the whole.
Initially the tickets will be available from 2 April through a network of travel agents, but Ryanair is reported to be talking to other networks and may expand its outlets in future.
No additional charges will be demanded on bookings obtained from a travel agent, according to the airline.
Ryanair has additional plans to engage with business travellers. Later this year a “business product” will be launched with the airline says will allow passengers to buy a group of services in just one go.
