The two individuals wanted to travel to London, and had counterfeit Italian passports in their possession.
The Foreigners and Borders Service (SEF) yesterday, November 11th, at Faro Airport, took the two foreign citizens into custody for the crimes of using counterfeit documents and illegally staying in national territory.
The two passengers, aged 33 and 34, were detained by SEF while intending to travel to London, UK, with counterfeit Italian passports. They will now be brought to the Faro Department of Criminal Investigation and Prosecution, and the Faro Judicial Court, to determine their enforcement measures.
Moreover, another foreign citizen was arrested during the same day yesterday, for the same practice, at Lisbon Airport. In this case, the individual sought to board a flight to Dublin, being caught with a counterfeit Greek citizen card and driving license. Fraudulent documents will be filed in court with the detainee.
