PSP police are searching for seven missing footballers from São Tomé and Princípe’s under-18 team who were staying at the Hotel Pestana in Cascais and were due to fly back to their country this morning.
They were last seen on Wednesday (November 27) after their team lost to Portugal’s national under-18 team (7-0) at Cidade do Futebol in Oeiras.
Reports suggest the footballers left the hotel together that night and have not been seen since. Police were reportedly alerted last night and have been searching for the group since then.
The identity of the missing players has not been revealed.
