Over 80,000 consumers have visited and exchanged information on a DECO website that compares prices of bottled gas cylinder in 1,650 outlets throughout the country.
The consumers’ champion Deco launched the site a month ago when the cheapest 13kg botle of butane cost €22.95 in Pombal, Leiria district.
"Currently, the lowest price is €21.50 in Alcoutim, Faro district," announces DECO today as more than 80,000 consumers contributed to tracking down the new lowest price in the country, adding more than 600 sales outlets and information on over 2,000 prices.
"More prices drops were found in Coimbra, Évora and Viseu," says Deco, explaining that based on the values recorded at the beginning of the campaign a consumer who bought cylinders at the lowest value can now save over one euro per bottle.
"If you use one bottle a month, this means a saving of €12 after one year," reported DECO for the mathematically challenged. DECO has started to send free information and messages on low prices on its website.
