According to António Costa, despite the "significant" evolution of the pandemic, the "pressure" on the National Health Service "has remained stable."
Prime Minister António Costa announced yesterday that there has been a significant evolution of the Covid-19 pandemic since mid-August, but stressed that the infections are now "less serious".
The Prime Minister began by saying “We are having, as is known, since mid-August, a constant rise in infections, in line with most European countries”, adding that “these are infections that, fortunately, are less serious than at the beginning of the crisis ”.
António Costa, who spoke in statements to RTP and TVI at the entrance to Pedro Abrunhosa's concert, in São Domingos de Benfica, Lisbon, stressed, however, that the lesser severity of infections “does not allow anyone to relieve care”.
The head of the Government also said that, despite the "significant" evolution of the pandemic, the "pressure" on the National Health Service "has remained stable".
